What Maya says about gambling transactions
Maya’s e-wallet terms and conditions were read directly and contain no gambling clause — only general prohibitions on illegal activity and anti-money-laundering breaches. Its CREDIT CARD terms, a separate product, do list ‘illegal gambling or unauthorized game of chance’ as a restricted transaction, with suspension or cancellation of the card as the stated consequence. Maya was also subject to BSP Memorandum M-2025-029 in August 2025 and removed in-app gambling and gaming links accordingly. The distinction between the two products matters: a restriction written into a credit card agreement is not a restriction on the wallet.

Maya settles in real time for wallet-to-wallet and InstaPay transfers, and same banking day for PESONet. That describes the rail, not the casino: an operator can hold a withdrawal for its own review before it ever reaches Maya, and that review is usually where waiting time comes from.
